High School Head of Subject

Applications are invited from qualified individuals for the above post.

SELECTION CRITERIA INCLUDE:

  • a relevant teaching qualification from a recognised institution.
  • in-depth teaching experience, which includes enquiry-based learning.
  • detailed understanding of the IEB syllabus and assessment frameworks to a matric level.
  • a proven record of innovation, commitment, and professionalism in the teaching profession and the teaching of the subject.
  • the willingness to embrace rapid changes in education.
  • an interest in integrating ITC into teaching and learning as Brescia House School is a Microsoft Showcase School.
  • proof of registration with SACE.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • being an active and innovative member of the teaching body of the High School, including teaching an additional subject.
  • participation in co-curricular activities and events across the High School.
  • the availability and ability to attend conferences, organise workshops and meetings.
  • developing a passion for the subject among learners at every opportunity.
  • demonstrating full awareness of developments in Computer Applications Technology, regarding both subject matter and curriculum development.
  • effective leadership with an overall responsibility for the administration of the subject.

Members of staff are expected to uphold and promote the Ursuline ethos of the school.
