What Followers Need from Their Leaders in a Crisis
A summary of a presentation by Dr Peter Dry, based on research done by Don Clifton and Tom Rath: Strengths based leadership (Gallup).
Leaders need to give followers a clear path forward and show confidence that the crisis can be managed. They also need to show followers how they can contribute to the process. Thus they will create a sense of hope and faith in the future. Leaders will emerge either stronger or weaker from a crisis – never the same.
