Vuleka Internship advert (Foundation, Intermediate and Senior Phase – Student Teachers)
Vuleka School is an Anglican Diocesan School which for 34 years has offered communities around Johannesburg, excellent and affordable education.
Vuleka School would like the successful applicants to commence duties in January 2024
Minimum requirements:
- You must be currently studying towards a Bachelor of Education degree (Foundation, Intermediate or Senior & FET), or another degree with the aim of studying a PGCE in 2024 through a long-distance learning with public tertiary institutions, while gaining workplace experience.
- Passionate about teaching, and participate in our extramural and sport programmes.
- Cares for well-being of all learners.
- Willing to learn and work alongside a qualified mentor teacher in different aspects, activities of the school.
- Be a team player and work towards the common goal with the mentor teacher and school at large.
- Embody the Vuleka values of: Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Compassion and Honesty
- Computer Literate, good administrative and IT administration skills
- Be proficient in English as the medium of instruction and communication
- Display high level of emotional, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
The position includes:
- Willing to work with mentor teacher in class learning areas including remedial programs.
- Work together with mentor teacher to conduct ongoing assessments and feedback.
- Participate in professional growth opportunities including meetings and training.
