St John’s College is a world-class Christian, African school situated on a magnificent campus in Houghton, Johannesburg, offering quality education from Pre-Primary to Post-Matric. We are looking for an accomplished cello teacher to join our music department as a visiting

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • hold a suitable music degree or a Teacher’s Licentiate in cello
  • have experience in teaching cello to beginner to advanced students
  • have a good track record of entering students for external music exams
  • have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • have a police clearance certificate

Closing date: 12 July 2024
Additionally, an interest and experience in the development of very young beginner cellists
(Grade 0 – Grade 2) would be considered an advantage.
Members of staff are expected to support the Christian ethos of the school.
