VACANCY FOR POSITION OF FOUNDATION PHASE TEACHER
Growing Minds is a fast growing, registered, inclusive, independent school situated in Gardens, Cape Town. It offers small classes, a progressive CAPS aligned education and individualised attention for its learners. Growing Minds is an exciting and dynamic environment with loads of potential for growth and development and due to expansion, an exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Foundation Phase teacher who will be responsible for the following:
- Teaching a dynamic CAPS aligned curriculum
- Implementing strategies to support and extend the learners
- Liaising with parents, learning support and therapeutic teams
- Using creative methods to teach content to enhance understanding and a love of learning
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria.
- Bachelor of Education (Foundation Phase) qualification
- At least 2 years full time teaching experience in foundation phase
- CAPS experience
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Computer literacy and fluency in English
- Previous experience working with children with barriers to learning
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- SACE registration and current police clearance certificate
