Nestled in the KZN Midlands, for learners aged 3 – 14. We are an independent Christian co-ed day and boarding school where
education encompasses our faith, relationships and how we go about our daily lives. We see every challenge as an adventure,

Vision for our Interns

We believe that we are called to disciple and mentor our young adult generation of teachers. We want them to discover more
of their calling, gifts and talents and equip them to be highly significant teachers for our school, South Africa and abroad.
Do you qualify?

Potential Teacher Interns should:

  • be Christian to align with the values and ethos of the school; involved in your local church;
  • Have chosen to make teaching your choice of career and be determined to make a difference in the sphere of education; be committed to lifelong learning;
  • be 19 years or older;
  • Currently studying or registered to study a degree in education (ECD, Foundation Phase or Intermediate Phase); or another degree with the aim of studying a PGCE in one of these phases.
  • be willing and able to be involved in boarding, sport and the co-curricular programme;
  • Have a current, clear criminal clearance certificate.

Our Expectations

  • You will be committed to a 12-month contract, conditional on your performance;
  • You take responsibility for your personal studies and career development; you will work closely with your staff mentor
    and Head of boarding to navigate a work-study balance;
  • You are expected to be involved in all aspects of school life as it will present opportunities to find and develop your strengths and abilities as a teacher;
  • You are expected to perform well and pass all subjects in your studies;
  • You will be expected to be a good example in the way you speak, act and go about your day-to-day life
  • You will be required to perform boarding duties, including weekend ones, on a rotational basis

  • Financial support for your studies of a relevant teaching qualification and/or outdoor certificates and qualifications;

  • Join the boarders for all your meals;
