SPORTS COORDINATOR
Swimming, Athletics, Hockey, Rugby, Netball and Soccer
(PART TIME/FULL TIME FROM 1ST JANUARY 2025)
The successful candidate must be an experienced and well-qualified coach who holds an appropriate academic and professional education qualification from a recognised institution (SSA, SAHU, SARU) and is registered with SACE.
Previous experience in Independent Education is an advantage but is not essential.
Duties Required:
- Controlling Sports Programme
- Controlling Sports Events
- Coaching in various Sporting Disciplines
- Liaising with parents, students, and visitors to the campus.
- Sports Equipment – budgeting and management.
- Sports Coaches – Management.
- Organisation of sporting events
- Matches and Interhouse and Internal Events
Competencies/ Skills Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, students and parents.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and able to use own initiative.
- Good organizational and administrative skills.
- Must be a team player.
- First Aid Training
- Willingness to accompany teams to sporting fixtures.
- Skilled in Coaching and Refereeing/ Umpiring.
Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement is a recognized Degree and/or a diploma in Sports Management or Teaching
- Qualification with Physical Education as a subject completed.
- SACE registered.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in event management in the sports industry.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the same and/or similar type of position and environment.
- Ability to coach sports is essential.
- Experience in the organization of sporting events.
