An opportunity exists for an exceptional Sports Coach to join the school from January 2023 on a fixed-term contract basis.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric
  • Level 1 certification in any sport would be an advantage
  • 3 years of primary school coaching experience
  • Ability to swim and teach swimming

Candidates should have the following attributes:

  • A values-based approach to coaching
  • The flexibility, ability, and willingness to work outside school hours, when necessary
  • The intention to work according to the school’s ethos, specifications and policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coach and officiate a variety of sports

Duties (not an exhaustive list):

  • Coaching of primary school girls in various sports
  • Create a positive culture around physical education
  • Officiating various sports matches
  • Booking of transport and catering for sports fixtures
  • Promotion of the St Peter’s Prep Schools attributes and values
  • Coach according to the St Peter’s Prep Schools Best Practice pedagogy
