St Teresa’s School, a Pre-Primary to High School (Grades 00-12), is an all-girls independent Catholic School situated in Craighall Park and Rosebank. The school was founded by The Sisters of Mercy in 1930. St Teresa’s School has provided excellent, holistic education – developing Heart, Mind and Body for the past 91 years.

Senior Primary School Principal
Key Performance Requirements:
Be a practising Catholic or have an understanding of the Catholic values and be committed to nurturing, developing and promoting the Mercy ethos and mission of the school.
Have at least 5 years’ experience at SMT level.
Have suitable academic and professional qualifications.
Motivate and assist key staff in designing and consistently developing a cutting-edge curriculum which fulfils all CAPS requirements while incorporating the school’s core values.
Have strong innovative leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills in all arears.
Provide innovative leadership, guidance and support to all staff and support staff development.
Have relevant education management experience.
Motivate and assist key staff in designing and consistently developing a cutting-edge curriculum, in line with the ethos of the school.
Critically evaluate academic progress and implement interventions.
Monitor the quality of teaching and learning to ensure that it is child-centred, relevant and fully reflective of the school’s core values.
Manage the school’s finance and day-to-day budgets with the assistance of the Bursar.
Be fully aware of, and drive, transformation and diversity.
Committed to ongoing personal and professional development to enhance the leadership of the school.
Use excellent interpersonal and communication skills in interactions with all stakeholders.
The position is to be filled no later than 01 January 2022.

A letter by applicant dealing with the applicant’s vision for the school and making reference to previous leadership achievements of the applicant.
Certified copy of SACE registration, qualifications together with copy of applicant’s identity document.
Current Police Clearance Certificate.
An applicant who submits an application and does not receive a response by 01 June 2021, must accept that he/she has not been shortlisted for an interview and/or does not meet the minimum requirements and/or a decision has been made to withdraw the position and/or not to fill the post.
The Sisters of Mercy and the Board Governors reserve the right not to proceed with filling the post.
