Senior Primary Art and Music Educator

Christian Brothers’ College Boksburg is a premier Independent Boys School on the East Rand of Johannesburg and is seeking an individual with energy, a strong work ethic, integrity, and vision in the position of a Senior Primary (Grade 4 – 7) Art and Music educator.

The staff member will report directly to the Primary School Principal.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education
  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience in Music education
  • Experience in Art teaching preferred

Requirements

  • Proficiency in English language instruction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with young learners.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans and differentiated instruction.
  • Must be SACE registered.
  • Be passionate about boys’ education and promoting a love of Art and Music.
  • An awareness of the nature of the College and willingness to commit to its Catholic ethos and appreciation of its traditions.
  • Ability to foster and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • A commitment to on-going personal and professional development.
  • Willingness to be involved in our extensive extra-mural programme is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic Art lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Develop the school’s music programme.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every learner feels valued and supported.
  • Assess learners’ progress and provide constructive feedback to promote growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support learner success.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Uphold CBC Boksburg’s ethos and values, as an Independent Catholic School in all interactions with students, staff, and the broader community.
