Dainfern College seeks to permanently employ a teacher with experience in teaching Intermediate Senior Phase Afrikaans.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be experienced in teaching Afrikaans.
  • Be innovative, creative and flexible.
  • Have a suitable degree, professional teaching qualification and SACE registration.
  • Be familiar with the CAPS and IEB curriculum.
  • Be willing to contribute to and collaborate with our dynamic Afrikaans department.
  • Be responsible for all duties as required of an academic teacher.
  • Lead a classroom by example and exhibit professionalism at all times.
  • Incorporate the school’s values into daily teaching.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues, students and parents.
  • Have strong organisational and administrative skills and be detail oriented.
  • Have relevant technological skills.
  • Be willing to work withing our Positive Education philosophy.
  • Be willing to be a class mentor.
  • Showing willingness to be involved in the extramural programme of the school.
