As a result of our growth, we seek to appoint an

Secondary Faculty Coding & Robotics Educator

To commence January 2025

As a result of our continued growth, we are seeking the services of a Coding & Robotics educator. The successful candidate will enjoy working within a stimulating, progressive and innovative teaching and learning environment, surrounded by advanced technology and facilities.

The successful candidate must:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma or BTech in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field
  • Understand Computational Thinking and be able to implement Design Thinking approaches
  • Understand mechanical concepts and automation processes and have experience designing and building machines
  • Have excellent Problem Solving and Critical thinking skills
  • Have advanced experience programming robots with at least one of the following coding languages e.g. Python, Java, C++
  • Have good experience building and coding LEGO Robots using either Mindstorms EV3 or Spike PRIME
  • Have good experience building, coding and integrating different hardware platforms (e.g. Arduino, Raspberry Pi) into projects / robots
  • Be energetic, outgoing, conversant and display a progressive approach to teaching and learning
  • Be SACE registered
  • Hold a Police clearance certificate:
  • cleared against the Criminal Clearance Register
  • cleared against the Child Protection Register
  • clearance against the National Register for Sex Offenders (Proof of receipt of Application)

To your advantage:

  • Have experience coaching teams competing in Robotics competitions e.g. First Lego League, First Tech Challenge, World Robot Olympiad
  • Minimal Viable Product development
  • Experience with software design tools e.g. TinkerCAD, AUTOCAD
  • Experience with 3D Printing, Soldering, Laser Cutting
