TEMPORARY – SCHOOL RECEPTIONIST AND SECRETARY – IMMEDIATE
The Vine School is an independent Primary School in Lansdowne, Cape Town, offering outstanding education, inspiring children to think, discover and grow, using the Ambleside teaching method in a Christian environment. The school has a temporary vacancy for a School Receptionist and Secretary. The school’s current Receptionist is unwell and will only return to work in February.
Date of commencement is immediate. The end date is uncertain, depending on the recovery of the permanent employee.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience in a school admin office
- A testimony of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour
Attributes:
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

- Dependable, conscientious, resilient and hard-working
- Able and willing to learn quickly and build positive relationships with co-workers
Competencies/skills:
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft products AND Google for Education
- Experience in the school administration programme “Staffroom” and CEMIS
- Switchboard experience
- Ability to work with confidential matters
Responsibilities:
- Answering the telephone, redirecting calls to the appropriate persons
- Responding to emails
- Updating “Staffroom” with pupil details, classlists etc.
- Sending letters or other communications to parents
- Filing
- Managing principals’ appointments
Working hours and remuneration:
- Working hours are from 7:45 – 15:45
- R800.00 per day
