School Nurse
Broadhurst Primary School is renowned for its progressive and innovative approach to education. The School is currently seeking to appoint a full- time School Nurse from Term 3 2023. Suitably qualified and experienced applicants holding a Nursing Degree will be considered.
Basic requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years ‘experience in the nursing field
- Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Botswana
- Proven broad-based nursing competency and knowledge including school nursing or community experience
- Paediatric training or other relevant experience
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Computer Skills
- SHE training will be an added advantage
- Experience in Trauma will be an added advantage
- Valid Driver’s license will be an added advantage
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing direct care to students and staff
- Promoting a healthy school environment
- Providing leadership for the provision of health services
- Provision of screening and referral services for health conditions
- Serving in a leadership role in the development and evaluation of School health policies
- Liaising between the Broadhurst community and health care professionals
- Provision of specialist support to the Learning Support Therapists
