School Counsellor

Beaulieu Preparatory School seeks an experienced counsellor to join the school as an independent professional. This role will involve providing caring and professional counselling services to the pupils and staff of the school.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Help pupils understand and overcome social and/or behavioral problems
- Collaborate with teachers and parents and provide workshops/discussions on topics such as bullying, drug abuse, cyber bullying, anxiety, trauma, etc.
- Value and support the diversity and the individual differences of pupils, teachers and support staff
- Report signs of neglect or abuse to the relevant authorities
- Counsel individuals, or groups, as needed
- Counsel families as needed
For this role, the successful candidate will need:
- A qualification as an Educational Psychologist or Registered Counsellor
- To be registered with the HPSCA and have the relevant documentation
- An ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
- Computer literacy
- A working knowledge of various counselling models, practices and resources.
