ROWING COACHES
FIXED TERM AND PART TIME
2025/2026
St John’s College invites applications for temporary rowing coach positions to support our rowing programme during the upcoming 2025/2026 school season. Ideal candidates will enjoy working with young rowers and want to contribute to a high-performance, values-driven school environment.
We are looking for coaches who are available to work on a part-time basis to assist with training sessions, regattas, camps, and general rowing development of our students and be willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the School’s physical and technical training programme
- Assist in coaching crews across various age groups and skill levels
- Collaborate with the Head of Rowing and the coaching team to ensure consistency in coaching delivery and athlete development
- Supervise athletes at training, regattas and camps as required
- Maintain equipment standards, including rigging boats and assisting with logistics
Minimum Requirements
- Proven rowing coaching experience (preferably at school, club, or university level)
- Strong technical understanding of rowing and athlete development
- A valid driver’s license is preferred and willingness to travel with crews when needed
- First Aid Level 1 (or willingness to obtain it) is an advantage
