We are currently seeking a talented and highly innovative teacher with a proven ability to operate effectively within a team environment to start from Term 1 2022. The successful applicant must be a dynamic, enthusiastic and collegial educator. They must have a commitment to ensuring students develop strong foundations in literacy and numeracy as well as fostering a love of learning by challenging and supporting every student.
Teachers are required to work collaboratively with parents and each other to provide a supportive environment where students can develop their areas of strength while embracing new and exciting opportunities. Emphasis is placed on the development of positive relationships and the promotion of sound values.
Our ideal candidate will:
Be a qualified teacher, with SACE registration.
Have the ability to teach Grades 4 and 5 as well as take on responsibilities of being a Mentor for the class managing the pastoral, behavioral, academic and social needs of students.
Be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Be a positive, hard-working, collaborative and flexible professional.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in interactions with colleagues, parents as well as students.
Be able to create a learning environment that stimulates interest and purposeful learning.
Be able to apply sound pedagogical principles in the classroom, including creative and critical thinking tools.
Have good skills utilising and facilitating the use of technology in the classroom.
Be prepared to participate in the pastoral, co-curricular and sporting life of the school, including rostered supervisory duties around the school grounds.
