Springfield Convent School is a Catholic Independent Day School for girls from Pre-Primary to Matric, founded by the Dominican Sisters in 1871, and located in beautiful historic gardens in Wynberg, Cape Town. Springfield has a nurturing Catholic atmosphere and tradition, and a proud record of academic excellence. Dominican education addresses the whole person, and successful departments of music, art, and drama, together with excellent facilities for sport are therefore an important part of the school’s offering.
Within the Catholic ethos and Dominican values, we educate children of all faiths, whose families are willing to honour this ethos and set of values. Important among these are respect for each person’s dignity and for the common good, pastoral care, and the development of the talents, gifts, and potential of each one.
