St David’s is a Marist, Catholic, Independent School established in 1941 for boys of all faiths from Grade 00 to Grade 12. We offer weekly boarding in the College.

St David’s Marist Inanda seeks to appoint a dynamic experienced Educator in the following position:
Preparatory Librarian
To commence March 2025
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Be appropriately qualified with the necessary Degree and professional qualifications and must be SACE registered.
- Display an understanding of the Catholic ethos and Marist values of the school.
- Display a genuine passion for, and an in-depth understanding of teaching boys.
- Have a proven record of excellence in teaching which attests to the applicant’s passion, innovation and vibrancy for the library space.
- Display high levels of professionalism and commitment
- Be willing and able to contribute to the extra-curricular programme of the school
- Possess appropriate technological skills and display a willingness to use technology in their teaching methodology.
- Managing all logistics to ensure the smooth running of the library
- Planning and managing insightful, relevant and appropriate library lessons for Grade 00–Grade 5 that promote reading for enjoyment and keep learners engaged
- Preparing for and hosting reading celebration days, such as World Read Aloud Day
The ideal candidate should have a passion for books and reading and be committed to promoting reading within the school. The library is a communal area of the school, and the librarian needs to be available to provide support and assistance whenever it is required. It is a demanding role that requires the individual to be flexible, adaptable and willing to assist boys at any time during the course of the academic day.
