Pre-School // Movement and Curricular Coordinator
Cornwall Hill College is a co-educational, independent school situated in Irene. We pride ourselves on providing a safe environment and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a professional Pre-School Movement and Curricular Coordinator to serve in our Pre-School Division.
CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE:
- Developing, planning and implementing a dynamic movement programme that meets the children’s needs within the Pre-School.
- Being involved in the Swimming and Hockey programme (curricular)
- Overseeing Co-Curricular/Extra Mural Activities (Grade 0)
- Liaising with Principal and Grade Leaders on school curricular and co-curricular/extra mural activities
- Be responsible for the whole-child development of Pre-School children
- Thorough planning and development of dynamic, rich, open-plan, daily educational programme
- Comprehensive record keeping on each child’s progress, on an on-going basis
- Daily professional interaction with teachers, parents, children and internal and external service providers
The Successful Applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor of Education Degree or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Sports Science/ Physical Education or related field will be beneficial
- A valid SACE certificate
- Have a good command of the English language (spoken and written)
- Participate willingly and continuously in developing the education programme as part of a team of enthusiastic educators
- Strong computer skills for both administrative tasks and integrating ICT in the classroom, along with a solid understanding of digital learning principles and practices will be advantageous
- Make use of opportunities to positively involve themselves in activities that are beneficial to their professional development and that of the school
