Cornwall Hill College, a co-educational independent school in Irene, Centurion, invites applications from students in the process of studying an Early Childhood Development (ECD) degree to become part of our College’s Internship programme, to commence duties on 1 January 2025.
THE CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE:
- Daily assistance with preparation and set-up of activities.
- Working alongside qualified teachers in running different aspects of the daily programme.
- Practical implementation of studies in the Early Childhood Development field.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Provide proof of current studies / registration to study a degree in Early Childhood Development through a recognised tertiary institution.
- Have good administrative skills.
- Clearly be a team player in the fullest sense.
- Be committed to their studies and demonstrate a genuine desire to become a Pre-School teacher.
- Make use of opportunities to positively involve themselves in activities that are beneficial to their professional development and that of the school.
THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND ABILITIES ARE ESSENTIAL:
- Â Must be SACE registered
- Show evidence that they will support the Christian ethos and values of the College.
- Be proficient in using English as the language of school communication.
- Have strong IT skills for administrative and teaching purposes.
- Intrinsically display a high level of emotional and interpersonal skills.
- Passionately seek opportunities for continuous professional development.
