Applications are invited for an energetic, creative, and innovative Pre-Primary intern, who meets the requirements listed below.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help and support the Pre-Primary teachers deliver meaningful and enquiry-based lessons supported by technology
  • Manage the Pre-Primary coding programme and work collaboratively with teachers regarding the lesson content
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends regarding EdTech, locally and globally
  • Connecting with staff members at planning meetings to support innovation, technology integration and STEM into the classroom.
  • Planning and preparation in alignment with the school’s curriculum
  • Comprehensive and continuous assessment and observation of each child’s development
  • Daily professional interaction with colleagues and parents

Skills and Qualifications:

  • You are pursuing a bachelor’s Degree in Education and entering your third or fourth year of study
  • Must have the ability to identify with the values and ethos of the school
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff and most importantly with young children
  • Is motivated and uses initiative
  • Have a good command of the English Language (spoken and written)
  • Strong computer skills, both for administrative purposes and ICT in the classroom
  • Must have a warm and nurturing personality
  • Willing to participate in continuous staff development

Desired experience and qualifications:

  • You are specialising in ECD or Foundation Phase
  • You are provisionally SACE registered
