CONTRACTUAL AFTERNOON MUSIC TEACHING POST FOR
A

PIANO TEACHER 2020

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the above peripatetic teaching post, to start in the first week of May 2020. This is an afternoon posting from 13h00 – 16h30. Candidates needing to complete notice periods will also be considered.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic person of integrity and vision with strong interpersonal skills, and should:

  • Show commitment to promote a very high standard of teaching and learning
  • Possess ability to oversee international ABRSM and/or Trinity Music exam preparations from Grade 1 to Grade 6 level
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years’ piano teaching experience
  • Hold a Music Degree, licentiate or higher-level qualification on piano
  • Be able to encourage and promote a passion for piano-playing and music
  • Be able to co-ordinate and train pupils to present musical items at Music Concerts and Soirées
  • Provide assistance with musical functions, relevant to pupils
  • Possess the ability to work as a member of a team
  • Undertake administrative tasks, applicable to students
  • Have police clearance certificate in term of the Sexual Offenders Act
