Harriston is an English-medium, independent school with weekly boarding, situated in Harrismith, Free State, providing quality education from Grades 0000 to 12. The school is a member of ISASA and writes the Independent Examining Board NSC.

We invite applications for the following position (commencement date 1 January 2023)

Physical Science (Grades 8 – 12)

The successful candidate will:

• Have a relevant degree and professional teaching qualification.
• Have a SACE registration certificate.
• Have a Police clearance certificate.
• Have a good knowledge and understanding of the Physical Science and Natural Sciences curriculum.
• The ability to teach Maths Literacy would be an advantage.
• Be passionate about the teaching of Physical Science.
• Be familiar with the IEB curriculum and IEB assessment procedures.
• Be computer literate.
• Be innovative in their teaching methodologies.
• Have excellent organisational skills and sound interpersonal skills.
• Be required to participate in our extra mural programme.
• Should be a vibrant and energetic educator with the ability to run a one-person department.
• Have the intention to work according to the school’s ethos, specifications and policies.
