Minimum requirements for this role include:
Relevant teaching qualification from a recognized institution with a minimum of 5 years teaching and learning experience
Proof of registration with SACE
Relevant coaching qualification and experience, umpiring qualifications and an excellent all-round knowledge of hockey and tennis
Proven record of innovation, commitment and professionalism
Willingness to embrace rapid change in education, teaching & learning and sports coaching
A high level of computer literacy skills
Effective organizational, administrative skills and the ability to manage pressure
The successful candidate will be required to:
Be an active and innovative member of the teaching body
Teach Physical Education in the GET and FET phase
Manage all aspects of hockey and tennis
Selection, training and monitoring of coaches and coaching and umpiring as appropriate
Critical to this role will be the developing and implementing of a Hockey and Tennis programme for the School through the linking of the development of Hockey and Tennis skills in the Primary school through to the High School programme. Part of this will also include actively raising the profile of Hockey and Tennis within the pupil and parent community.
