St Dominic’s is an independent Catholic day-school for girls situated in Boksburg. The school which accommodates learners from Grade 0000 to Grade 12 was established in 1923 and enjoys a long and proud history of educational and sporting excellence.

St Dominic’s is a member of the Independent Schools of Southern Africa (ISASA) and the Catholic School’s Board and offers examinations set by the Independent Examinations Board (IEB).

An opportunity has arisen for St Dominic’s to appoint Physical Education Teacher and Head of Netball in the Senior School. We therefore invite applications from dynamic, motivated and innovative professionals, who are committed to teaching excellence and willing to be part of an experienced team.

The successful candidate will:

  • Require suitable teaching and professional qualifications;
  • Have a current SACE registration;
  • Be willing to apply for clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register;
  • Have at least three years teaching experience;
  • Be able to teach another teaching subject if required;
  • Be committed to educational excellence;
  • Be passionate about sports education;
  • Be able to lead a team of netball coaches;
  • Be willing to become meaningfully involved in the life of the school;
  • Be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft TEAMS;
  • Identify with and support the Catholic Ethos, Values and Mission of the school.
