Herschel Girls Senior School seeks to appoint a

PART-TIME PERCUSSION TEACHER

to commence duties from 13 January 2025 on a fixed-term Service Provider contract

The following criteria are essential:

  • Experience in teaching orchestral percussion and/or drumkit from Grades 1-12 would be advantageous
  • Degree in Music, Performers or Teachers Licentiate would be advantageous
  • Experience in the ABRSM/Trinity Syllabus
  • Experience in conducting and managing a Wind Band and/or Jazz Band
  • Teach Music Theory
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and organised
  • To hold at heart the school’s tagline of “learning to make a difference” for oneself and for the pupils in one’s care
  • To be fully committed to the school’s transformation, equity and belonging strategic objectives in support of an equitable, inclusive and safe school environment for all
  • To be supportive of the Christian Anglican ethos of the School
