The Deutsche Schule Durban is looking for a part-time music teacher, starting in January 2022, to teach class music and music appreciation lessons to all classes from Kindergarten to Grade 7. This will involve approximately 7 hours a week, on 2 separate days – Wednesdays and Fridays.
Sound command of the German language is a pre-requisite, and the ideal candidate will be confident, caring and have the ability to effectively and enthusiastically engage with primary school children. The ability to play a musical instrument, preferably piano, and to prepare musical items for various school functions is essential, as is the ability to periodically plan, rehearse and execute a school musical.
