We invite suitable candidates to apply for the contract position of ad hoc/paid on claim Nursery Phase Teacher. The successful candidate will be part of the EduCare Centre team in the Estates and Custodial Services Department. The position would be ideal for a part time student in Early Childhood Development or a qualified person looking for flexible employment. Suitable candidates will only be expected to work when the teacher is off sick or on annual leave. A fixed number of hours per month therefore cannot be determined.


  • Minimum qualification: NQF4 in ECD or related field
  • Minimum experience: 3 years in ECD, teaching experience
  • Required skills: Lesson presentation, learner assessment, presentations and curriculum support
  • Professional registration or license: SACE
  • Police clearance

The cost of employment is R 55 per hour. As this is a paid-on claim position and employment happens on an ad hoc basis, there are no benefits offered.
