Novice Teachers as Bi-Lingual (English/isiZulu) Co-Teachers
in Grade 0 and Grade 1

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a novice/newly qualified teacher to join our Early Learning teaching team.

We invite applications from teachers who meet the following requirements:
Be a recently qualified teacher looking to gain experience in teaching together with a Lead (experienced) teacher.
Have an interest or passion for wanting to work with children in this age group.
Have a good command of English and be able to read and write in English proficiently.
A good command of isiZulu to teach children the isiZulu vocabulary and conversation in a bi-lingual immersion language programme.
Be computer literate and understand the uses and needs of technology in the classroom.
Be self-motivated, driven, responsible, focussed and independent.
Understand that the requirements of the job are rigorous and there is a high expectation of performance.
Have a positive and flexible personality.
Be able to take initiative in various situations.
Be willing to take guidance and instruction from teachers and assist with all the necessary classroom requirements, including administrative tasks.
Be able to keep an orderly and organised learning environment, both outdoors and indoors.
Have good social and observational skills and be a team player.
