NETBALL and SWIMMING CO-ORDINATOR & PE TEACHER
COMMENCEMENT DATE: JANUARY 2025
SAHETI School is an independent, co-educational, English-medium school dedicated to the pursuit of excellence, whilst promoting the values and ethos of Hellenism. The school is situated in Bedfordview, Johannesburg.
The successful candidate must be an experienced and well-qualified female coach who holds an appropriate academic and professional education qualification from a recognised institution and must be registered with SACE, with valid clearance checks.
Requirements of this position include but are not limited to:
Physical education teaching:
- Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula for Primary School students;
- Conduct regular PE lessons, focusing on physical fitness, sports skills, and healthy lifestyle habits;
- Assess and evaluate student performance and progress in physical education;
Sports program coordination and coaching
- Ensure proper maintenance and availability of sports equipment and facilities;
- Coordinate team practices and training sessions;
- Provide mentorship and support to students;
- Schedule and coordinate sports events and matches;
- Be the MIC of netball and swimming in the primary school;
- Collect independent contractor coaches’ timesheets and ensure information is accurate.
Qualifications:
- Must have a recognised Degree and/or a diploma in Sports’ Management or Teaching Qualification with Physical Education as a subject;
- Proven experience in same or similar role;
- Valid SACE registration;
- Clearance certificates (Police/ criminal Clearance, Child protection & Sexual offenders clearance certificate
Any of the following will be advantageous:
- Experience coaching netball and swimming;
- Referee/Umpiring experience, Learn 2 Swim certification and/or a relevant qualification;
- A Professional Drivers Permit (PDP).
