An opportunity exists for an exceptional Music Administrator and Teacher to join the Girl’s school from January 2021.

Candidates should meet the following criteria.

They should have:

  • A passion for music!
  • Initiative!
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Choir training experience
  • An ability to play piano accompaniment for practical exams, Chapel, Choir, Orchestra et cetera
  • An ability to teach small group instrumental classes
  • An ability to teach the ABRSM Music Theory Curriculum up to a Grade 5 level
  • An ability to use Sibelius software
  • A willingness to be involved in all school events and school productions
  • A working knowledge of sound, lighting and recording

Education and Experience

  • Relevant qualification is an advantage
  • Proficiency in a second instrument is an advantage
  • Group/Class teaching experience
  • SACE Registration

The successful candidate should be self-motivated and energetic. Two crucial elements of being part of the St Peter’s Girls School Music Department. The interview process will include a practical component – candidates will be expected to play a musical instrument.
