Music Administrator and Teacher

An opportunity exists for an exceptional Music Administrator and Teacher to join the Girl’s school from January 2021.
Candidates should meet the following criteria.
They should have:
A passion for music!
Strong administrative and organizational skills
An ability to work as part of a team
Choir training experience
An ability to play piano accompaniment for practical exams, Chapel, Choir, Orchestra et cetera
An ability to teach small group instrumental classes
An ability to teach the ABRSM Music Theory Curriculum up to a Grade 5 level
An ability to use Sibelius software
A willingness to be involved in all school events and school productions
A working knowledge of sound, lighting and recording
Education and Experience
Relevant qualification is an advantage
Proficiency in a second instrument is an advantage
Group/Class teaching experience
The successful candidate should be self-motivated and energetic. Two crucial elements of being part of the St Peter’s Girls School Music Department. The interview process will include a practical component – candidates will be expected to play a musical instrument.
