The Kusasa Project is an independent school situated outside Franschhoek in Groendal.

This position has a dual purpose within the school environment. Half of the duties are academic lessons within the Grade 3 and 4. The other half will be for one-on-one diagnostic guidance with learners ranging from 4 to 8 year old. This teacher will be responsible for coordinating the Learning Support team and any further intervention for individual learners. The ideal candidate should have a positive personality and growth mindset, that is adaptable with change.
The person applying must have:
Possess a recognised 4-year foundation phase teaching qualification (B.Ed)
Be CAPS trained
Understand various teaching and learning methodologies and strategies
Be prepared to participate in afterschool activities and the teacher development programme
Courses and experience in diagnostic testing and guidance
Passionate about supporting and helping foundation and ECD phase learners
Have a thorough knowledge of educational strategies and techniques for identified students
Willing to keep up to date with evidence-based research on learning and emotional developments of children
