The Office of Independent Schools Evaluations Southern Africa (OISESA) seeks to appoint three accomplished and experienced mentors to conduct quality assurance evaluations at ISASA member schools across Southern Africa. OISESA was established in May 2022 – more information is available on the OISESA website.

Mentors will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the OISESA Executive Assistant, Survey Coordinator and Senior Editor in planning and implementing all the required logistics for the school visits, communication around the quality assurance process, together with the generation of comprehensive reports.

  • At least 5 years’ experience as head of an independent school
  • Very good computer literacy skills, including using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Drive, and Microsoft Teams for online training
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Very strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to compile, write and edit comprehensive reports, with a strategic focus
  • Ability to meet frequent and diverse timelines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams, demonstrating empathy and active listening skills
  • Demonstrate an innovative approach to mentorship throughout the evaluation process
  • Willingness to travel regionally


  • Experience in conducting quality assurance evaluations
  • Experience in mentorship
