Mathematics Teacher Grades 8 – 12

We are seeking the services of an energetic, and passionate Mathematics teacher to join an experienced and successful team. We have a proud history of excellent matric results and learners are strongly encouraged to enter national competitions and develop problem solving and critical thinking skills.

The position is effective from April/July 2022.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have Mathematics as a major, or at least the equivalent of Mathematics at a tertiary second year level.
  • Have suitable experience (at least 5 years) in teaching Mathematics from Grade 8 – 12.
  • Be willing to teach or have taught, AP Mathematics Grade 10 – 12.
  • Be proficient in the use of a wide range of software for teaching and setting assessments.
  • Be willing to participate in, and initiate conferences, workshops, and our Maths Society.
  • Have a passion for Mathematics Olympiads.
  • Have experience in external marking or be willing to gain experience.
  • Show innovation, creativity, and motivation in the classroom as well as having high expectations of their learners.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal skills and able to work effectively as a member of a team dedicated to the development of all learners.
  • Be willing to run afternoon support sessions.
