VACANCY ~ MATHEMATICS TEACHER
Founded in 1896 and set in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, Michaelhouse is a leading Anglican Independent senior Boarding School for boys from Grade 8 to Grade 12.

We are looking to appoint an individual who is organised, flexible and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills. Duties will include teaching a range of classes and involvement in a variety of co-curricular and pastoral duties within the school. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION ARE:
- A relevant degree.
- A professional teaching qualification.
- At least 8 years’ experience teaching Mathematics from Grades 8 to 12.
- Experience teaching Further Studies Mathematics up to Grade 12 is essential.
- Excellent and thorough content knowledge, with the ability to set assessments at a senior level.
- IEB marking experience will be advantageous.
- Competence in the appropriate use of technology as a tool for teaching and learning.
- Be able to drive curiosity and passion for learning the subject.
- Creativity and innovation in the classroom.
- A current registration with SACE.
- The successful candidate will be required to provide a police clearance certificate and be cleared on the Sexual Offenders Register.
- A willingness to contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the school.
- A willingness to support the Christian ethos and values of Michaelhouse.
