Marketing and Communication Manager (LOCUM)
FULL TIME, FIXED-TERM POSITION
Thomas More College seeks to employ a proactive and skilled Marketing and Communication Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis, contributing to and strengthening our school’s marketing initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and enhance the school’s brand identity across all communication channels, ensuring consistency and alignment with our values.
- Manage a content calendar for all marketing and communication materials, including digital platforms, print publications, and promotional material.
- Support the management of crisis communication, ensuring clear, accurate, and timely information is shared with all stakeholders in case of emergencies or incidents.
- Oversee internal communications to staff, ensuring alignment on key messages and initiatives.
- Oversee the design, creation, and distribution of brochures, newsletters, and other marketing materials to ensure they are informative and aligned with the school’s vision.
- Ensure the school’s website and App is up to date with accurate information, events, and news, optimising for user experience.
- Promote and market school events, including open days, parent meetings, sporting events, and cultural activities, ensuring effective communication before, during, and after events.
- Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about trends in educational marketing, and adapt strategies as needed to maintain the school’s competitive edge.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Adherence to the Christian Ethos of the School.
- Minimum requirement is a recognised bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 4 years’ experience in marketing and communications, with experience in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and website/app management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Criminal and Sexual Offender’s Clearance Certificate.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and marketing automation tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Adhere to the school code of conduct.
