St Peter’s College is an independent Anglican Diocesan school for boys and girls from Grade 8 to Grade 12. The school was founded in 1998 to meet the demand for a co-educational high school in northern Sandton. St Peter’s College offers an integrated and relevant South African high school education. St Peter’s College is currently seeking to appoint a committed, reliable and hardworking Marimba and Drumline Ensemble Coach.
Qualifications and Experience required:
Post Matric qualification in music
Must have experience teaching Marimba and Drumline Ensembles in a schooling
environment. Orff Schulwerk would be advantageous.
Must have basic keyboard skills. A multi-instrumentalist would be preferable.
Must be computer literate and be familiar with Sibelius.
Must have experience in arranging sheet music for Ensembles.
The ideal candidate would be a Percussion Specialists and will be permitted to offer extra private lessons after hours for personal remuneration.

Ability to handle pressure
Willingness to participate in the broader life of the College and to contribute positively to the ethos of the College.
