Suitably qualified candidates with relevant technical tertiary education
Must have at least 5 years’ supervisory experience in maintaining a facility such as a school/campus; golf estate or housing estate
Undertake and supervise plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, painting and other repairs/maintenance to buildings
Effectively and expeditiously attend to maintenance requests in a timely manner
Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
Source, control and purchasing of materials and equipment
Prepare daily and weekly maintenance schedules and allocate accordingly
Be willing to participate in the Catholic Ethos of the School
Key Attributes and Competencies:
Strong technical and working knowledge of mechanical units (HVAC), electrical, building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing and safety
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work professionally and collaboratively with others
Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
Ability to solve practical problems using reasoning skills
Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
Have an eye for detail
