MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent organizational skills. You will have a deep love of the school and be fully vested in the ethos and culture of Kingsmead.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs across the college premises.
- Assist with setting up and arranging facilities for college events.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Ideal Candidate will have the following:
- 3 years’ experience in repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to communicate in English (oral and written).
- Ability to multi-task together with hands on experience, including ability to diagnose problems, determine and facilitate effective solutions.
- Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual labour.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience in the use of hand tools, power fools, and measuring instruments to maintain and improve site infrastructure.
- Reporting of site and building works/defects to line manager and where necessary take action to restore to basic conditions.
