Grantley College is widely acknowledged as the premier high school for learners with support needs in Johannesburg. A vacancy has arisen for a qualified Sports Coach / Life Orientation Educator to join our team.
LO/LOA/ SPORTS EDUCATOR GR 8 -12
 To commence duties on the 1 January 2025
The successful candidate:
- Must be suitably qualified, with a Bed or PGCE in LO/LOA
- Must be able to offer other subjects
- Must have experience in teaching Gr 12 LO
- Must have a permanent SACE certificate – no conditional or provisional SACE will be considered.
- Must have a current police clearance
- Must speak superior English.
The successful candidate would preferably:
- Should have a background in Sport and be willing to develop the Grantley College Sport Programme.
- Be a proactive team player.
- Be patient, kind and empathetic.
- Be willing to attend professional development in the LSEN space.
- Be willing to participate fully in extra murals and sport.
- Be able to identify with the values, ethos, and mission of our school.
- Be willing to participate in general curriculum support.
- Be willing to undergo psychometric testing for suitability to the Grantley College environment.
