St Alban’s College, one of South Africa’s leading independent boys’ boarding and day schools in Pretoria, seeks a skilled and highly motivated individual to fill the position of Life Sciences Teacher. The incumbent reports to the HOD of Life Sciences.
The ideal candidate will be a specialist in Life Sciences and be well entrenched in the IEB environment with a proven and successful track record in teaching Life Sciences at a senior level.
A professional teaching qualification and SACE registered.
Experience teaching up to Grade 12 Life Sciences.
Excellent communication skills and classroom management.
An understanding of the skills and competencies required to be taught for success in Life Sciences.
A passion for education and the desire to motivate and stimulate higher order thinking amongst highly capable learners.
Competence in terms of computer literacy, especially Google apps.
The candidate will be at an advantage if they are able to contribute to the extra-curricular sports programme within the school and partake in boarding duties.
