St Dominic’s is an independent Catholic day-school for girls situated in Boksburg. The school accommodates learners from Grade 0000 to Grade 12 and was established in 1923.
An opportunity has arisen for St Dominic’s to appoint a Head of Department and Life Sciences educator in the Senior School. We therefore invite applications from dynamic, motivated and innovative professionals, who are committed to teaching excellence and willing to be part of an experienced team.

Prerequisites of this post are a suitable teaching qualification, SACE registration, a police clearance and at least three years teaching experience at matric level preferably in an IEB school. Candidates must identify with and support the Catholic Ethos, Values and Mission of the school.

The primary task will be to teach Life Sciences, as well to make up the normal teaching load with another subject as required. Religious Education an advantage.

We expect the ideal candidate to be available to offer academic support as required and to become meaningfully involved in the extra-mural life of the school.

Computer literacy is essential. An educator who is creative in the use of technology in education and prepared to learn and grow in this area is an advantage.
