Penryn NPC, situated in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, is an independent co-educational school with a Christian ethos, linked to the Methodist Church. Penryn is a member of ISASA and a global member of the Round Square organisation.
Penryn College is looking for an energetic, driven individual to join us as a Life Orientation Teacher, responsible for teaching GET & FET.
Key requirements for the post:
- Recognised Academic and Professional qualifications. Preferably a 3-year degree and PGCE, alternatively a B. Ed with specialization in Life Orientation.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with the IEB curriculum.
- Curriculum development and teaching of Life Orientation.
- Set and mark class assessments, exams, and preparation of report comments.
- Attend parent meetings and information sessions.
- Enthusiastic about working in a large school environment and being prepared to take on the responsibilities of extramural activities and events after normal school hours.
- A willingness to support the all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach of Penryn.
- Must be SACE registered and comply with the SACE regulation and Code of Conduct.
- Will be required to undergo staff vetting.
