Junior School Physical Education Teacher and Sports Coordinator/Coach

Effective January 2025 or before by arrangement

Applications are invited for a suitably qualified Physical Education Teacher and Sports Coordinator/Coach.

The successful applicant will be required to:

  • Have a relevant Sport and/or Teaching Degree and be SACE registered.
  • Have evidence of clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register.
  • Be committed to upholding the Christian values of the School.
  • Be passionate about teaching young girls about the benefits of participating in sport.
  • Be able to teach and coordinate the Physical Education programme: Grade 0 to Grade 7
  • Be able to coordinate the sports programme including organising and managing sporting events across the whole school.
  • Be able to coach at least some of the following sports: Hockey, Netball, Tennis and Swimming.
  • Be self-motivated and have integrity and enthusiasm.
  • Possess strong leadership, interpersonal, administrative and computer skills.
  • Be able to function independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess effective communication skills and liaise positively with the parents, administrative staff and academic staff.
  • Being able to teach an academic subject would be beneficial.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and own vehicle, and be willing to obtain a Public Driving Permit (PDP)
