Kearsney College invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of

IT Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first line IT support for users;
  • manage IT Helpdesk and ensure incidents are logged and resolved timeously;
  • manage and maintain a list of software applications in use by various departments/users;
  • installation, configuration and support of computers, notebooks, tablets and mobile phones;
  • administer Office 365 and Microsoft Azure license management, software licence management;
  • administer permissions and security on Windows server;
  • monitor the network alerting system – troubleshoot, resolve or escalate accordingly;
  • asset Inventory Management.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Diploma in Information Technology preferred (NQF Level 5);
  • relevant IT Certifications are advantageous: A+, N+, Azure Administrator;
  • 2 to 3 years’ of Windows Server Administration and Desktop Support experience;
  • experience in Active Directory, Office 365 Cloud Administration, Endpoint Manager, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Hyper V, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Veeam Backup and basic VOIP skills;
  • knowledge of wireless networks, routing and switching and VLANS;
  • own transport / driver’s license, flexible with respect to hours of work;
  • must be resident in the Upper Highway area or surrounding areas.

Working hours Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:30 and some scheduled Saturdays.
