We are seeking candidates for the position of:
 isiXhosa Teacher (Grade 1-9)
Part-time position to begin 1 May 2025
 Our preferred candidate will be passionate about teaching isiXhosa to children from age 6 to age 14. Initially this will be conversational, but the school hopes to move to offering isiXhosa at additional language level.
They ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Formal teaching qualification at Intermediate and/or Senior Phase, with isiXhosa as a specialty
- SACE registration
- Interest in and willingness to learn Waldorf pedagogy
- Willingness to work with children at different ages, adapting their teaching style to the Waldorf methodology and each year of the child’s development
- Caring and enthusiastic, with a love of and dedication to children and their development
- Self-motivated and able to work independently without formal supervision
- Able to work well with our dynamic community of staff, learners and parents.
- Willingness to actively contribute to the collective management of the school.
Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience teaching at a Waldorf school; for whom isiXhosa is a home language and who have a high level of English proficiency.
