INTERMEDIATE PHASE TEACHING POST

April 2025 (or soonest & thereafter)

The Winterberg School Trust requires a qualified, experienced, and competent teacher to teach in the Intermediate Phase with the skills and expertise to manage a multi-grade class.

Key requirements

  • Able to teach isiXhosa as a first additional language across the Intersen phase.
  • Knowledge of multi-grade education.

Other requirements

  • Proven track record of excellent teaching with over three years+ experience.
  • Completed bachelor’s degree in education (B.Ed.) or Teaching Diploma.
  • Knowledge of CAPS and the ability to deliver the curriculum in an innovative manner.
  • Experience in teaching all subjects in the Intersen phase.
  • SACE registered (kindly provide registration number and certificate in application).
  • Have a valid Police Clearance certificate.
  • Resilience and a willingness to work beyond the average hours.
  • Be a person of integrity with strong interpersonal, good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate and confident working with technology within the classroom and for lesson preparation.

The successful applicant must have:

  • Be enthusiastic about working with young children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Be able to work and co-operate in a professional team environment.
  • Be self-motivated and self-disciplined.
  • Behave professionally in terms of punctuality, behavior and work standards.
  • Evaluate, reflect on and refine their teaching practice.
