As an Intermediate Phase Teacher at St Cyprian’s School, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. You will deliver high-quality instruction, develop engaging lesson plans, and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth.

Key requirements for the role (including but not limited to):

  • Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a love for learning and encourage intellectual curiosity through inquiry-based learning approaches.
  • Implement differentiated teaching methods to communicate various learning styles and abilities.
  • Participate in professional development activities and contribute to the school community.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback for learning.

Key requirements for the role:

  • Inquiry-Based Teaching: Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding and implementation of inquiry-based teaching methods to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and problemsolving skills in young children.
  • Energetic passion: Ability to infuse the learning environment with energy and enthusiasm, creating a positive and engaging atmosphere for young children.
  • High level of computer literacy: Ability to utilize technology to enhance the learning experience and demonstrate proficiency in using educational software and tools.
  • 21st Century teaching skills: Ability to stay abreast of modern teaching methodologies and
  • incorporate 21st-century skills such as collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking into lesson plans.
  • Team player: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents, contributing to a positive and supportive school community.
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with both students and parents.

Qualifications and experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in education or teaching certification (PGCE or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in the Intersen Phase (Grades 4-7)
  • Passion for education and a commitment to student success
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-orientated environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
