Intermediate Phase – SS & EMS
Key competencies and responsibilities of this role include:
- A recognised degree and/or a 4-year professional teaching qualification with SS & EMS as a specialisation with at least 5 years’ teaching experience.
- Proof of registration with SACE
- A passion and vision for the subjects.
- A sound and progressive understanding of international trends and changes in education and 21st century learning.
- Experience in leading change, transformation, and diversity initiatives within the curriculum.
- Superior planning, organisational and reporting skills.
- Teaching at an IEB school will be advantageous.
- Create classroom communities where all members of the class are valued and contribute to the creation of knowledge.
- Evaluate, reflect on, and refine teaching practice.
- Knowledge in creating varied and innovative learning programmes and assessment.
- Interest in cross-curricular and interdisciplinary work.
- Be innovative, embrace technology in the classroom and display a creative teaching style, that supports Hybrid Learning. Microsoft 365 certification or experience is advantageous.
- Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and a willingness to contribute to a dynamic team.
- Ability to build healthy relationships with staff, students, and parents.
- Willing to contribute to the wider life at the school, with the ability, skills, and experience to become actively involved in the school’s co-curricular activities.
- Willing to support, promote and work within the Catholic Ethos of the School.
